More Urban Love: Bedding
I have always had a thing for bedding. When I was in third grade, I was OBSESSED with this pastel striped bedding from the JC Penny catalog. My lovely Mom finally caved in & ordered the set for me. When I finally received it in the mail it was very pretty, but made of a horrible, scratchy polyester that I hated. Nowadays I have gorgeous, soft summer & winter bedding, but wish I could talk my hubby into 4 seasons worth of pretty stuff. Lately, Urban Outfitters has been stocking a ton of great bedding. This is one of my FAVORITES:
I love patchwork quilts & this one has a fresh, modern feel that really appeals to me. (More goodies after the jump!)
I love heavy blankets in winter. Right now we have a lovely duvet with a flannel cover from Garnet Hill, but I’ve always wanted a pretty quilt. There’s something so homey about them, no matter how modern the fabric or the design.
I would love to put this in my guest bedroom during the cooler months. It’s so pretty & I love the colors.
During the hot summer months, I like just a thin blanket or tapestry as the bed covering. This rich brown is yummy looking!
This nature imagery is so soothing for the bedroom. I heart trees & I also heart that this bedspread is called, “If A Tree Falls”. That just makes me happy.
Apparently, the color brown makes me happy too. Another thing that makes me smile is Matryoshka Dolls:
This would be so cute in a little girls’ room. Especially with this cute pillow:
Images of these little dolls have popped up all over the design world lately.
These pillowcases are awesome! So simple & very clever, I wish I had them for my college dorm room back in the day. They would’ve added a graphic punch to my black & white decor. I hope you enjoyed my bedding picks! Next week I’ll be focusing on lighting & art.
